Crayon on cotton board

A tiny painting. A study made with my crayons on a scrap of archive rag board while listening to the memory of the words Norman Lundin repeated, "Most detail in the foreground. Warmer tones forward. As you go back, the detail melts. Pick a sky blue in the highlights and bring it across the whole of the image, decreasing the intensity as you go back. Intense forward going to dull in the back. Define the deepest detail with a stroke of solid black. Hit the glistening light spots with solid white and the sun comes in."

I can't wait to see this as an oversize print, framed or not.
